Will Brown’s Race Weekend at Winton was highlighted by a P5 finish on Sunday.

Race 13 - P27

Brown qualified an impressive 4th on Saturday as Supercars returned to Winton Raceway.

The Boost Mobile Racing Driver made a fast getaway and went around the outside of Turn 1 to move into 3rd and was looking strong in a podium-threatening position.

Brown’s race changed for the worse when he entered pit lane at the end of lap 12 for left side rubber, and the clutch in the #9 Holden failed when waiting for fresh rubber and ultimately resulted in a problem with the rear tyre going on.

As a result, Brown had a lengthy stopped and toppled down the field - later being ruled out of a good result when he was forced to serve a pit lane penalty for unsafe rotating wheels.

Race 14 - P6

Brown had another great Qualifying Run on Sunday and began the first race from 8th. He got a good start, and made 1 position by the end of the opening lap. The #9 pilot was one of the first to pit, stopping early on lap 5 for left-side tyres.

Again in podium-contention, Brown sat 3rd but was under threat for the remainder of the race by cars with fresher rubber and was bumped into 6th at the finish line.

Race 15 - P5

Lining up for the final race of the weekend, Brown began from 5th and had a cracking start to the race.

Throughout the relatively uneventful race, Brown held onto his 5th place position until the chequered flag and claimed his best result of the weekend.
