Successful Team Debut for Brown in Bathurst🏆

Round 1 of the 2024 Supercars Championship marked an ultra-successful outing for Red Bull Ampol Racing Team’s newest recruit Will Brown, who delivered two podium finishes including a race win on Sunday, which now sees him atop the Championship Standings.

Achieving comfort immediately in his Triple Eight prepared Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, Brown entered Saturday’s top-ten shootout where he would post a scorching 2.06.374 which landed him Pole Position.

The team debutant then pieced together a strong performance in Saturday’s opening race, collecting P2 following the 40-lap affair.

Sunday presented a new day on The Mountain for the second and final race of the weekend, with Brown once again showing his qualifying prowess by securing third place. A strategic game plan by the team along with a swift pit stop placed Brown in the lead of the race by the mid-way mark, which he would maintain for his maiden race win for the team as the checkered flag flew.

“What a debut for myself and the team here in Bathurst. Charging to pole on Saturday was awesome, and then getting the race win on Sunday was massive as well. For us as a team, we’re focused on consistency as that’s what counts towards the championship, so we’ll get to work again to be ready and prepared for Melbourne in a few weeks. Overall, this was a great weekend for us and an awesome way to start the season.”
