Will Wins his first Supercars Race! đŸ„‡

Will Brown has won his first Supercars Championship race win in an action-packed sprint at Sydney Motorsport Park!

Race 26 - P3 🏆

Prior to his maiden race win on Sunday, Will secured his second career podium after starting the Race 26 in P5. The race was fairly uneventful until the Safety Car was deployed when a car stopped on track.

Will was P12 under Safety Car and with the field bunched and only two drivers in front on fresher rubber, he was looking to use their big tyre advantage. Racing resumed with 12 laps to go and Will made his way up in as little as two laps into to P7.

With six laps to go, Will was behind teammate Brodie Kostecki who was right under the wing of Jamie Whincup and was trying to find the right moment to make a pass for the last spot on the podium. Unable to get it done, Brodie opened the door at the hairpin for Will to have a crack at Whincup.

The #9 Commodore was lapping half a second quicker and with three laps left to run got by Whincup for a podium spot, Will's second podium of the season in as many weeks.

Race 27 - P9

In Sunday's first sessions, Will qualified an impressive P4 for both 32-lap Races.

In Race 27, Will got away well past Jamie Whincup as Chaz Mostert also tried to make a move.

Will pitted on Lap 15 and took on two tyres only, and passed Pye with 11 laps left to run and finished second of those on a two-tyre strategy in P9.

 Race 28 - P1 🏆

Starting P4 again, Will got a superb start and moved into P3 on the opening lap.

Will came in on Lap 12 with the team completing the fastest stop of the race with 2.7-seconds.

Will used the clean air to his advantage and powered past Shane van Gisbergen as he re-joined the field and became the effective leader.

In the final laps of the race Will came under pressure from both Red Bulls though the rookie held them off as they collided into each other, trying to make an attack stick.

Will crossed the line first, becoming the first driver to win in his Rookie season since 2013 and securing the team’s first win at Sydney.Â
